Brian Moriguchi
Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association

Brian MoriguchiBrian Moriguchi is the current president of the Los Angeles County Professional Peace Officers Association (PPOA), serving his eighth term as president. He represents over 8,900 members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Office of the Coroner and District Attorney’s Office. PPOA provides additional services beyond most unions including banking through their own credit union and insurance through their own insurance agency. Moriguchi also serves as the chairperson for contract negotiations and also as president of the PPOA charitable foundation, The Star & Shield Foundation.

Moriguchi is a 31-year veteran of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and currently holds the rank of lieutenant. He has worked a variety of assignments including patrol, custody, detectives and administration. He has a strong civil rights background having served as the president of the San Fernando Valley Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League, chair of the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission’s Network Against Hate Crimes and as an appointed member of the California Committee of the United States Civil Rights Commission. He has held other board positions with the California Peace Officers Memorial Foundation (CPOMF), Southern California Alliance of Law Enforcement (SCALE), Los Angeles Coalition of Police & Sheriffs, A Safer California Foundation, and the McKinley Children’s Center.  

 

Vice President
Rudy Perez
Los Angeles School Police Officers Association

Rudy PerezDetective Rudy Perez is a 15-year veteran of the Los Angeles School Police Department. Detective Perez holds a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice Management and has completed dozens of specialized and advanced officer training courses including Patrol Combat Tactics, Social Networks Investigations, Gang Investigation Course, and Tactical Communications. He has worked a variety of assignments including policing High School and Middle School campuses, day and night patrol, interagency task forces, gang detail unit, bike patrol, and training unit. Rudy is currently working as a Detective in an investigative division (Threat Assessment Unit).

Detective Perez is the current Vice President of the Los Angeles School Police Officers Association, which represents 500 Officers in a school system that has 700,000 students and 69,000 employees. He has served with the LASPOA for 12 years and has instructed labor managers nationally in the areas of labor relations, political action committees, employee rights and critical incident response. In addition, he sits on several national boards and organizations having to do with law enforcement. These include the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO Region 9 Director), where he is the region director for the states of CA, OR, WA, AK, ID, NV and HI, the National Association of School Security Law Enforcement Officials (NASSLEO), Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Peace Officers Research Association of California (Director at Large in PORAC which represents 90,000 police officers in California).

Craig Lally
Los Angeles Police Protective League

Craig LallyCraig Lally is the President of the Los Angeles Police Protective League in Los Angeles, California. The Los Angeles Police Protective League represents the more than 9,900 dedicated and professional sworn members of the Los Angeles Police Department. The League seeks to advance the interests of LAPD officers through legislative and legal advocacy, political action and education. As President, Lieutenant Lally works daily with the Los Angeles Police Department, community groups and fellow officers to protect the rights, interests and welfare of the members of the League.

Lieutenant Lally was born in Cleveland, Ohio and joined the Los Angeles Police Department on March 31, 1981. He worked various patrol assignments for over 25 years as a Police Officer (in the elite Metropolitan Division), Sergeant and Lieutenant. He has received approximately 200 commendations throughout his career, both from the Department and the community.

Lally was elected as a Director to the Los Angeles Police Protective League on January 1, 2012 and elected President on January 1, 2015. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association, the Executive Board of the California Coalition of Law Enforcement Association , and the Board of Directors of the California Police Officers Memorial Foundation.


Treasurer
Rodolfo Bojorquez
Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association

Rodolfo Bojorquez is a 15 year veteran of the Los Angeles Airport Police Department. Rodolfo has worked a variety of assignments including Patrol Services, Defensive Tactics and his current assignment with the Emergency Services Unit SWAT team where he serves as a Rifle, Taser, and Active Shooter instructor. Rodolfo completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education in 2001 and has also worked for the the United States Customs Service where his passion for law enforcement was born.

Rodolfo is the current Vice President of the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers Association (LAAPOA), which represents 500 officers at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the largest final destination airport, in the United States. LAX has welcomed over 85 million passengers annually and is known as one of the nation’s top terrorist target’s. He has served on the LAAPOA board for 4 years and welcomes the opportunity to serve the CCLEA membership.
